So.. since montreal doesnt really have a beach, they created one.
(wonderful imported sand, along a huge lake)

so.. it was a fairly cool day (not to cold), with a HUGE sun.

it was actually pretty hot in the end... (i dont look pleased..)

then we got bored and made a pyrimad..

Then we got tooo heated up and went into the FREEZING water to cool off

Don't touch me u meanie! u are the reason why i ended up in the water anyway...

Guess i didnt stay mad too long..

All in all, we had a blast.
had bbq using tree branches as cooking utensils,
smoking hotdogs away,
falling asleep in the sun,
playing beach volley,
burying people in the sand... sneaking kisses.. ^_^
It was, however, VERY tiring.
was sun burnt and exhausted... ^_^

Camping in Parc de la Mauricie

So, i went with 11 other people for camping in the wilderness-
la mauricie, national park of canada

1) we had to drive 2 hrs from montrela up north.
2) than, we had to canoe to our camp site...

then, we had to carry our canoes to another lake for fishing trip... it was BLOODY HEAVY!!!

they caught 3 fishes while i slept.. (too tired after carrying that stupid canoe)
btw, the fish is a PIKE <<>

bernard (terence's brother) was incharge of cooking that fish we caught..

we had lamb chops (no, we didnt hunt for it)

ALL in all.. i guess the momories were really nice. i still detested the mosquitoes n the canoe carrying part. but i loved the people, the nature, the water, the sense of serenity in the wild. timeless.

Today, my mission was to hunt for a USB printer cable. I just bought a 2nd hand hp5100 series printer for 25 bucks, and was feeling abit proud of it. MINUS the fact that it didn't come with the cable.

When i went under La Cite, in their digital source, i was horrified by its ATROCIOUS price of 21.99 CAN before tax - it was gold plated (honestly, who cares if its gold plated or XXX)

So, i left the shop feeling abit lost. i called a friend to check the norm price, and even he lamented about the awful price in future shop. Finally, i decided to walk up St laurent from sherbrooke, towards the computer shop somewhere above rue des pine.

Opposite the gas station on st laurent, there is this ghettoish-junk looking shop packed to the brim with stuff. i have always wondered what's in it, so i decided to try my luck. my mouth dropped open. that shop was just soooo packed with stuff that the walkways were <>

Finally, i bought the cable, 6" for 3 CAN (tax INCLUDED) plus i bought a maxwell 25 piece blank CDs for 10 CAN too!!!

gosh, next time, i am gona go there to see if they sell miscellanous stuff that i would want.

PS: the cable worked fine! ^_^
